Led by an expert local guide, we ride through varied terrain—from quiet forested sections to wide-open steppe—taking in sweeping views of the Bariloche landscape along the way.

Explore the vast Patagonian steppe on horseback

Your horseback adventure begins with a group transfer to a traditional Patagonian ranch nestled in the heart of the steppe. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed with a light traditional breakfast.

After breakfast, our experienced guide will introduce you to your horse and provide a brief orientation on the area and safety guidelines. The horses are calm, well-trained, and suitable for riders of all experience levels, from first-timers to experienced equestrians.

Then it’s time to ride. The horseback experience lasts approximately two hours as we traverse forested patches and open steppe terrain. You’ll experience the dramatic contrast between sheltered woodlands and the expansive, wide-open vistas of the Patagonian steppe.

After the ride, we enjoy a traditional Argentine barbecue lunch, with fresh salads, beverages, and a sweet finish of pancakes drizzled with dulce de leche.

Our Patagonian steppe horseback riding adventure comes to an end as we board our vehicle and return to town, taking with us unforgettable memories of the open range.
