Prepare to have your taste buds fill up with flavor, and test your cooking skills as you tour an olive oil production facility, and take a cooking class at the Pan y Oliva restaurant. Nestled within the prestigious Santa Julia winery, in the heart of Mendoza’s wine country, this restaurant will surely delight and enthrall your senses. This unique experience allows you to learn about olive oil production and taste the oils made fresh from the olives grown on the within the grounds of the winery. It’ll next be time to put on your apron, as you learn how to prepare traditional Argentine dishes, and later sample those dishes paired with perfectly ruby red Argentine wines.

Our day starts off as we arrive at Santa Julia winery, and take a tour of the olive oil production facility. After wine, olive oil is one of Mendoza’s most plentiful natural resources, and Santa Julia is known for producing some of the finest olive oils in the region. We’ll learn about the entire process of making olive oil, and later sample some of the delicious finished product.

Next, it’s time to head over to Pan y Oliva, one of two restaurants located at Santa Julia winery. This unique restaurant is known for its fresh take on pastas, salads and tapas, with the incorporation of olive oil. First we’ll take a trip out to the organic garden and harvest vegetables, which we’ll be using to prepare dishes in our cooking class. Now it’s time to get cooking! We’ll be guided by our chef, as we learn how to use regional products to prepare tasty and mouth-watering traditional dishes. After we’re done cooking, we’ll head out into the dining from to enjoy some lunch and house wines.

Our olive oil and cooking class experience will draw to an end with a ride back to our hotel, and with the pleasure of having learned all about local olive oil production, as well as some of the secrets of Argentine cuisine.
