Picture yourself wading through the pristine waters of Northern Patagonian lakes, while experiencing the thrill of making that first catch, amidst the backdrop of the picturesque Nahuel Huapi and Lanin National Parks.
This fishing experience will satisfy the nature enthusiast in you, while giving you the opportunity to fish in some of the most beautiful waters in Patagonia!
This full-day tour includes some of Bariloche’s prime fishing locations, including the Limay and Pichi Leufu Rivers, as well as the Gutierrez Lake (where you’ll also enjoy the snow-capped peaks and lush green forests in the background), and Moreno Lake, a great location for rainbow and brook trout. We’ll also have the opportunity to catch three different kinds of trout while fishing the serene, emerald-hued waters of Lake Mascardi.
We’ll meet up the day before your fishing excursion to select and check equipment, and make sure everything is set for the next day. Our expert fishing guide will meet us at our hotel in the morning, and will take us to our destinations for the day: Nahuel Huapi and Lanin National Parks.
Once we reach our first destination and get settled, we’ll set up our equipment and float or wade until noon. Our boat for this outing will be similar to a cata-raft: a paddle raft designed for river fishing. At noon we’ll break for lunch; enjoying tasty local Patagonian products such as meats and wines that will reload our energies, and get us ready for the next half of our trip, fishing until 6 PM or so, depending on the season.
After plenty of great fishing and gorgeous scenery, our Patagonian fly-fishing tour wraps up with a ride back to our hotel.
