  • Find your center and enjoy the serenity, once atop the mount

Get ready for a one-of-a-kind panoramic hiking experience, where you’ll be enchanted by some of the most breathtaking panoramic views of Patagonia, including one of the ten most beautiful views in the world, as rated by National Geographic!

Our expert guide will help you hone your hiking skills, as you set out to explore the surrounding areas of Mount Llao Llao. You’ll also take a chairlift ride up Campanario Hill, where you’ll enjoy awe-inspiring panoramic views of deep-blue lakes and snow-capped mountains. Get your camera ready… this will surely be one of the best opportunities to take some of the most wonderful and sublime landscape photos out there!

The tour begins when our expert hiking guide takes us to Mount Llao Llao. We’ll start our hike along an off-the-beaten-path trail that will take us to the best lookout points of the mountain, where you’ll have the opportunity to capture some beautiful nature shots. This is a 3.7 mile (6 kilometer) hike which, depending on the pace, can last approximately two hours. We’ll trek through some beautiful forests of southern beech and native bamboo, offering plenty of color and diverse plant life. The hike up Mount Llao Llao takes us up an elevation of 820 feet (250 meters); upon our completion of the ascent, we’ll quench our photographic thirst, and continue creating memories, as we enjoy the panoramic vistas which surround us.

Next, we’ll make our way towards Campanario Hill. Along the way, we’ll make a few stops in order to enjoy panoramic views; including the picturesque sight of the Llao Llao Peninsula. Now it’s time for a relaxing and scenic ride in a chairlift up Campanario Hill. Once you reach the top of the hill, you’ll be rewarded with a 360-degree view of the area, while being treated to commanding, long-range panoramic vistas of majestic snow-capped peaks, pristine lakes, and lush plentiful forests. These views are so impressive that they’ve even garnered accolades from National Geographic, as one of the 10 best panoramic views in the world!

After spending time atop Campanario Hill, capturing plenty of pictures and taking in the serene beauty of your surroundings, it’ll then be time to take the chairlift back down. Our trip experience will draw to a close as we are transferred back to the hotel, with a camera full of new memories!

Since you’ll be doing this tour with your own private vehicle and guide, you’ll be able to enjoy each attraction at your own pace; making all of stops you want, while enjoying personalized assistance and care from your expert guide. You’ll also enjoy more convenient and faster transfers to and from your hotel, as there will be no other travelers to pick up or drop off at other hotels.

Important: the tour’s exact itinerary and duration may change subject to weather conditions and decisions by the tour guide, in an effort to optimize your tour experience.

Difficulty: Easy to moderate (depending on the hiking trail we follow). Our usual 2-hour hike is of moderate difficulty and has an uphill section for around 30 minutes. The total hiking distance is 3.7 miles (6 kilometers) with a cumulative elevation gain (refers to the sum of every gain in elevation throughout the entire trek) of 820 feet (250 meters).
For guests preferring a harder trail, our hiking guide will take you on a 2-hour hike at Cerro Lopez, which will replace our usual Llao Llao mount hike. For guests preferring an easier hike, we follow another trail that offers an easy 1-hour walk through an imposing forest in the same area. This easier path involves short and mellow uphill sections and mostly flat terrain. This option will show us a group of unique Myrtle trees and beautiful lookouts by the Moreno Lake. Our tour guide will customize the tour to provide you with the most suitable and enjoyable hiking experience.
