Buenos Aires has been chosen for 3 consecutive years (2014, 2015 and 2016) as the #1 best destination to visit in South America by millions of Trip Advisor users in their “Traveler’s Choice” contest...and rightfully so. This cosmopolitan, vibrant, and sophisticated city, commonly called the “Paris of Latin America,” is the best place in the world to enjoy a first-class tango show and to eat some of the tastiest steak accompanied by the celebrated Argentine Malbec wine.

Our expert “porteño” (as locals are called) guide will take you on a cultural journey, where you’ll get to know the most iconic neighborhoods and highlights in the city. Beholding Breathtaking Panoramic Views of the Iguazu Falls from the Brazilian Side (private tour)

With 80% of the falls located on the Argentine side, only from the Brazilian side can you see almost all of them at once, in breathtaking panoramic views. This is because the Brazilian footbridge lies across the river from the falls, offering a unique perspective and epic panoramic views which makes the Brazilian side different and absolutely complementary to what you get from the Argentinean side.

This is a half day private tour.

Walking Among Exotic Birds in the Iguazu Rainforest

You’re about to enter one of a kind bird sanctuary, where you’ll find the largest colony of toucans on display in the world, as well as the largest colony of parrots on display in South America, along with another 150 different bird species from Brazil and all around the world.

Located in the midst of the lush tropical rainforest, Foz Tropicana Bird Park is an internationally recognized rescue and preservation center for endangered birds, and it’s among the most important ones in South America. You’ll be side by side with a myriad of exotic birds in the three walk-in aviaries, where you’ll have the opportunity to have an up close and personal experience with amazingly colorful parrots and Toco Toucans, among many other birds that will be right next to you or even flying over your head!

Besides the diversity and rarity of many of its birds, another unique thing about the park is its location. It covers nearly 40 acres (16 hectares) or rainforest, so you’re truly going to be in the middle of nature while walking along the trails!

This is a self-guided visit lasting about 2 hours and is done on the same day you do the Brazilian side of the falls tour.

Experiencing the Unique Power of the Iguazu Falls from the Argentine Side (private tour)

“You might have seen the photos. Even read about it. You might have visited other great waterfalls before. But you probably still have no idea what to expect when you come face to face with the almighty Iguazu Falls,” stated CNN in their article “Iguazu Falls: Why this natural wonder should be on everyone’s bucket list". To put that in perspective, Iguazu Falls is nearly twice as tall as Niagara Falls and nearly three times as wide. Even the late U.S. First Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt was reportedly so impressed by the sight of Iguazu Falls that she exclaimed “Poor Niagara!”

In 1984, Iguazu Falls became a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and in 2011, it was selected as one of the 7 winners of the “New Seven Wonders of Nature” worldwide competition in which more than 100 million votes were cast.

Their size and scale are unlike any other waterfall on Earth. Made up of a system of 275 waterfalls, they have a staggering water flow of up to almost 3.5 million gallons (13 million liters) per second – enough to fill five Olympic swimming pools!

Unlike Niagara Falls, which is surrounded by developments such as casinos, a revolving restaurant, and coffee shops, Iguazu Falls are located within one of the few remaining inland rainforests in South America, the Atlantic rainforest, which is a haven for more than 2,000 plant species, about 400 birds species, and 80 types of mammals!

This is a full day private tour.

Speedboat Adventure at the Iguazu Falls

Get ready for an adventurous speedboat ride while enjoying a unique, close-up perspective of the Iguazu Falls different from what you’ll see from the panoramic boardwalks. Our speedboat will ride the waters of the Iguazu River to approach the falls, getting right inside the mist formed by them.

You’ll be thoroughly splashed by the mist of falls while listening to the water’s imposing roar. The ride provides a unique and extremely close-up view of the San Martin and the Three Musketeers falls. Now it’s time to hop on board and begin our waterfall adventure!

This is a 12 minutes group tour and is done on the same day you do the Argentinean side of the falls tour. This tour has an age restriction (click on tour name above for details).

Prepare to discover your inner adventurer as you explore and conquer one of the world’s most unique and awe-inspiring glaciers: The Perito Moreno Glacier. This grandiose glacier showcases its mighty glory in the Patagonian Glaciers National Park, which has been declared Mankind’s Natural Heritage site by UNESCO. The park’s vast size not only gives it the distinction of being the largest ice mantle in the world after Antarctica, but it’s also the third largest fresh water reserve on the planet as well.

Now imagine yourself equipped with your ice spikes, trekking along this ice giant on a full-day discovery journey along one of the few glaciers in the world that is actually growing and advancing.

Passion and Beauty: an Authentic World-class Tango Experience

Tango is a fundamental part of Argentine culture, even Pope Francis said that Tango “lives deep inside me, I often danced it in Argentina as a young man.”

The show also includes a brief but exciting display of some unique features of Argentine folklore with traditional costumes, a folk band, and a mesmerizing boleadoras show performed by the show’s very own gaucho!

Domestic Flights Duration & Route

FLIGHTS DURATION & ROUTE FOR THIS TRIP

Flight Route Total Flight Duration
Buenos Aires to Puerto Iguazu1 hour and 45 minutes
Puerto Iguazu to El Calafate6 hours and 10 minutes
(makes 1 stop without changing aircrafts)
El Calafate to Buenos Aires2 hours and 55 minutes
Argentina Map

Argentina is a very large country, precisely the 8th largest in the world, so traveling by land is too time consuming. For example, a bus ride from Buenos Aires to Iguazu takes about 18 hours (versus 1 hour and 50 minutes by plane), and the bus ride from Buenos Aires to El Calafate takes about 40 hours (versus 3 hours and 15 minutes by plane).

For a worry-free travel experience, we strongly suggest letting us take care of your domestic flights. It is usual for local airlines to make many flight changes before (and sometimes during) the trip. Taking care of domestic flights will allow us to monitor closely any flight changes and to adapt your trip itinerary when necessary.

Our flight issuing service includes: flights booking, daily tracking of flight status and changes, reconfirmation with the airline of each flight before each departure, booking of your flight seats, web check-in (not available for all flights) and assistance with your flights arrangements if there is any flight delay, change or cancellation before or during your trip.

FLIGHTS MAP & ROUTE

Iguazu to El Calafate: there is a special flight that goes from Iguazu to El Calafate which has 1 stop in Buenos Aires but you continue to El Calafate in the same plane (no change of aircraft). However, this flight does not operate on a daily basis, so if it's not available for your trip dates you will need an extra flight to do a same day flight connection via Buenos Aires.

PRICE FOR DOMESTIC FLIGHTS

The total price for the 3 domestic flights needed for this trip starts at $407 per person, subject to availability at the time of booking. This is a promotional airfare, regular airfares can be up to 4 times higher. This means that the sooner you book your trip, the greater our chances of booking this or a similar airfare.

Prices of domestic flights depend exclusively on flight availability at the time of booking, with usually much lower airfares available for flights booked well in advance.

Our flight issuing service will help you enjoy a worry-free trip. It includes: checking for all possible flight options to suggest to you the best flight itinerary and airfare for your trip, flights booking and issuing, daily tracking of flight status and changes, reconfirmation with the airline of each flight before each departure, booking of your flight seats (not available for the most promotional airfares, with those airfares you can select your seats only when doing the check-in for your flight), web check-in (not available for all flights) and assistance with your flights arrangements if there is any flight delay, change or cancellation before or during your trip.

Letting us take care of your domestic flights arrangements will let you enjoy a worry-free travel experience as it is very common for local airlines to make flight changes before (and sometimes during) the trip.

NOTE: All services are subject to availability and subject to price modifications until
the trip booking is requested, confirmed and paid in full.

As an estimation, we can let you know that the total price for the 3 domestic flights needed for this trip starts at $407 per person (subject to availability). Tips to hotel staff, tour guides, etc.

Visa issuing expenses to visit the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls. Travelers who have passports from the following countries do not require a visa to visit the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls: Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hong Kong (with English passport), Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Morocco, Namibia, Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, San Marino, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Surinam, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, the Vatican and Venezuela.

Citizens of the US, Canada, Australia and Japan can apply for an electronic Brazil visa, which costs just USD 45. The electronic visa application process is done entirely online so you don’t need to go to a Brazilian consulate, mail your passport or use any visa- issuing company. These conditions are subject to any changes imposed by the Brazilian government.

Anything not expressly mentioned in this itinerary proposal.

How Our Booking Process Works

If you are ready to proceed with your trip booking please access your trip booking form and fill in the information we need to process your trip booking. We request a non-refundable down payment (usually USD 250) to process your trip booking, which we will credit towards your total trip payment.

The booking process takes usually from 2 to 3 business days. Once all services are booked we will send you an invoice with the trip booking confirmation and payment instructions. If your trip start date is in less than 60 days, we’ll request a full trip payment. If not, we’ll request a first payment of about 20 to 30% of the total trip cost and the pending payment will be due 60 days before your trip start date.

Important: We take our guests’ credit card payments via Paypal, and they have a promotion call Paypal credit which you can select when making your payment via Paypal. If they approve you (which is usual for US clients), you&rsquote;ll have up to 6 months more to make your payments (without any interest or extra fees). So if for example you make your first or total trip payment now, Paypal will pay us now but you’ll have up to 6 months to pay them without having to pay any extra interest or extra fees. This means that for example when you make your final payment two months before the trip start date, you can actually end up paying it up to 4 months later (almost 2 months after your trip start date). This is a great way to finance your trip payment, without any extra cost.
To read more details please visit: https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/paypal-credit

Our Trip Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your arrangements for any reason, you may be entitled to a partial refund. Most international plane tickets and most Latin American domestic plane tickets are non-refundable. Some airlines will offer credits for future tickets, with penalties.

For all payments already made, at the time we receive written notice that you must cancel your trip, the following fees will be charged:

  • » When only the first payment (which is around 20 to 30% of the total payment depending on the trip) has been paid: up to 80% cancellation fee over the first payment will apply, as most domestic flight tickets are non-refundable after being paid and issued.
  • » When the total payment has been paid and more than 45 days before the trip start date: up to 40% cancellation fee over the total payment will apply.
  • » 36 to 45 days before the start date of the trip and after the total payment has been made: up to 60% cancellation fee over total payment is applicable.
  • » 20 to 35 days before the start date of the trip and after the total payment has been made: up to 90 % cancellation fee over total payment is applicable.
  • » Less than 20 days before departure, or after departure: you have no right to refunds. However, we will try to get as much refund as possible for you, according to the cancellation policies of the service Suppliers.

We'll always try our best to get as much refund as possible depending on the trip cancellation anticipation and the conditions of the service suppliers.

Important note: certain hotels, boats, lodges and airlines may have deposit terms and cancellation policies different from ours. We may need to collect additional deposits from you to hold reservations. The cancellation penalties on payments will be determined by these individual organizations and will override our policy.

Refunds will only be paid to you once we have received the funds back from the Supplier(s). Generally flight tickets cannot be refunded if they are partially used. We are not responsible for a Supplier’s failure to pay a refund.

If the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your travel insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim your cancellation charges through your insurer.
